Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) is an integrated learning and teaching section of the University which offers Foundation & Preliminary (Pre-Degree) and Skill Based (Sub-Degree) programmes through its Two Colleges and short term trainings at Workforce Development Training Unit.

About Pacific TAFE

Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) is a strategically amalgamated and integrated learning and teaching section which offers high quality Skills Based Qualifications (SBQ’s), Foundation and Preliminary studies. The programmes provide employment opportunities at entry and para professional levels, pathways for higher studies at USP where approved, and career advancement for working people.

Twenty-six of its qualifications have been externally accredited on the Fiji Qualifications Framework (FQF) by Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) and these also appear on Pacific Register of Qualifications and Standards (PRQS).

The Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Certificate IV in Hospitality Operations, Certificate III in Patisserie and Diploma in Culinary Arts and Management Programme (THE-ICE, Australia); programmes are internationally accredited by International Centre of Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality Education (THE-ICE).

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care qualifications have been internationally accredited by Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

Certificate III in Community Development and Diploma of Counselling (Level 5) programmes are internationally accredited by Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA).

Diploma of Library and Information Services has been accredited by Australian Library and Information Association.

The Certificate III in Small Business Development and Management programme has been endorsed by Small Business Association of Australia (SBAA).

The Foundation Arts, Foundation Business, Foundation Science Programmes have been given recognition by Universities New Zealand.

The WDTU of Pacific TAFE is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) United Kingdom certified centre and offers accredited short courses; currently 100 short courses are fully accredited.
