Message from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President Education

Welcome Staff and Students to the Learning, Teaching and Student Services at the University of the South Pacific. Responsibility for these services is with the Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Education). This Office was formerly known as the Office of DVC Learning, Teaching and Student Services (LTSS), after which it was renamed to Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) in January 2019 and then the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Education) in November 2021.

The University works with staff and students to help students integrate and apply their learning, build life skills, and acquire appropriate graduate attributes for successful living, working, leading, and managing change. The University also seeks to address skill development among its teachers through professional development and training, and expects its staff to demonstrate best practice in pedagogy. There is also an emphasis on applied research, field and community-based education outreach, all of which are central to our teaching philosophy.

The University is committed to the provision of high quality courses and programmes, the highest standards of learning resources, and high quality teaching.
