On Campus Accommodation
The University’s Laucala Campus offers on-campus accommodation with 11 Halls of Residences, comprising of single and shared rooms, and 32 units for married students. The 10th and 11th Halls feature apartment-style, three-story facilities with eight rooms per floor, including a kitchen and a common lounge. Other halls provide designated cooking areas for students to use personal rice cookers and electric fry pans.
Accommodation Applications for Semester 1, 2025:
- Application Period: Opened 1 November 2024, closes 15 January 2025 for first year students straight out of Secondary Schools and Foundation applicants.
- Application Period: Opened 1 November 2024, closes 30 November for returning and continuing students.
- Application Method: Online submission only via https://uniportal.usp.ac.fj
- Note: No manual forms will be accepted

- The $80 FJD Student Health Services Fee is compulsory for all residents.
- No refundable bond will be charged for Semester 1 2025
- Private students – Full accommodation payment compulsory before check-in.
- Sponsored students are expected to clear their fees by the end of the third week of the semester.
- A $65 FJD withdrawal fee and 25% overhead charge apply for vacating halls after the second week of the semester.
- No refund is available if the vacated room remains unoccupied.

Check-In Process
Please ensure you meet the following requirements during check in.
- Full-time registered student with 3 or more courses
- Full accommodation and health fee payments for private students.
- Signed an accommodation contract after inspection of facilities and accepting the conditions.
- Submit copies of documents
Living Requirements:
All residential students must bring:
- Mop, broom, rubbish bin, bucket
- Personal cooking appliances: small electric frying pan, rice cooker, electric water heater, pots, and utensils
Accommodation includes:
- Single bed with mattress
- Study bench
- Closet and shelves
- Shared common facilities
- Washing machines at 10th and 11th halls
- Wall fan
- Wi-Fi
- Laundry services at a student rate of $6/kg
- Weekly linen change
Regulations and Conduct:
- All students must adhere to University regulations governing student conduct in residential halls.
- Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited.
- Violations will result in exclusion from the halls.
