Interim Report
Interim Reports focus on specific areas of concern identified during the comprehensive review process, annual report submissions, the complaint process, substantive changes, or other interactions with the WSCUC Commission. The purpose of Interim Reports is to ensure institutions continue to meet Core Commitments and Standards, particularly in the areas flagged for further attention.
Interim Reports are limited in scope and provide the Interim Report Committee with an update on an institution’s progress in addressing specific recommendations set by the Commission.
In December 2022, USP submitted its Interim Report to WSCUC, providing an update on how USP was addressing the recommendations identified in the 2018 Initial Accreditation Action Letter:
- How the several upcoming leadership changes were addressed (e.g. President, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and Vice-President);
- Improvements in internet connectivity from 2018 to July 2022;
- The possible expansion of new campuses;
- Development of post-graduate outcomes and demonstration of significant improvement in assessment practices across all programmes.
Additionally, the report briefly discussed USP’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, outlining key institutional adaptations and resilience strategies.
Following its submission, USP participated in a review call with the Interim Report Committee on 14 February 2023, where the Committee sought clarifications on specific updates and processes. After this review, USP was formally notified of the Interim Report Committee’s findings.
Attached is the Interim Report Action Letter detailing the Committee’s findings.
