A message for all Resident Students

Greetings and hope you are well.

You may now be aware that suggestions by experts and health officials on social media on the dangers of this new ‘double mutant’ variant that has hit our shores with the numbers and containment areas increasing. This is something that we all need to seriously think about if we are to get through this. And to do this, we are to work together and sincerely play out our responsibilities.

A few reminders;

  • “Stay home and stay safe”. Stay in your rooms please.
  • Mask up if you decide to leave your room or in taxis. Even when around Campus.
  • Download the Fiji Care App.
  • For your convenience, please visit the Uni-Mart, Hot Bread Kitchen and Dining hall. The Uni-Mart is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm – Monday to Friday.
  • Avoid going off campus as there is always a big risk of bringing the virus with you.
  • The life of the person in the room next door is in your hands. Make it your responsibility to keep him or her safe.
  • Always sanitize after touching surfaces, trolleys, door handles, in taxis and anything you think would have been in contact with the public. Best of all, avoid touching them.
  • If you are coming to the office for any services, please mask up.
  • No visitors or non-residents in the halls.

Remember, one bad decision can have a drastic impact on us all. So be responsible and follow all safety and Covid 19 health protocols. We all need to play our part. I leave you with these thoughts;

“A Mask is better than a ventilator

Home is better than ICU

Prevention is better than treatment

It’s not a curfew

It’s care for you

My Life is in your hands!”

Stay safe everyone.
