Certificate in Hospitality Operations - Food & Beverage, Front Office and Events (Level 4)
This qualification is internationally accredited by the International Centre for Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) and recorded on the Fiji Qualifications Framework (FQF) by the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC). It is also registered on the Pacific Register of Qualifications and Standards (PRQS).
Description
This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales and operational skills combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members.
The programme prepares graduates to work independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems. The training will involve industry process standards and specialised skills in accommodation services, food and beverage, and events and will provide career opportunities that are not limited to restaurants, cafes, resorts, hotels and SME operations.

Full Time: 1 and a half years
Eligibility/Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the programme, applicants must;
i. Be in sound health and physique, confirmed in the most current report by a certified medical practitioner, and,
ii. Passed the Senate recognised Year 12/Form 6 or equivalent examination with English; or,
iii Passed Certificate in Hospitality Operations Level 2 or equivalent from a provider registered on a National Qualification Framework, or,
iv. Meet the University mature student admission criteria.
