Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are job ready and competent in a wide range of information and communications technology (ICT) roles such as IT administration support, cloud computing, ICT safe work practices, helpdesk services, networking and databases and apply a broad range of skills in varied work contexts, using problem solving skills and effective communication with others.

Length of Programme
Full Time: 1 year

Eligibility/Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the programme a person shall have:

i. Pass in Year 12 or equivalent with English; or
ii. 18 years of age and over with at least 1 year of relevant IT work experience or
iii. Completed relevant Certificate II or III in IT qualification or
iv. Meet the university mature student admission criteria

Diploma of Information Technology (Level 5)

This programme is recorded on the Fiji Qualifications Framework (FQF) by the Higher Education Commission Fiji (HECF), and is also registered on the Pacific Register of Qualifications and Standards (PRQS). 

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function.

Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, as part of a team or leading a deliverable with others. They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).
