Description

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to administer and manage information and communications technology (ICT) support in small-to-medium enterprises(SMEs) using a wide range of general ICT technologies. Learning is based on hands-on practical experience with different computer technologies, in both individual and collaborative modes. Persons working at this level provide a broader rather than specialised ICT support function, applying a wide range of higher level technical skills in ICT area such as networking, IT support, database development, programming, graphic designing, web development, network security and project management.

Eligibility/Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the programme a person shall have:

i. Pass in Year 12 or equivalent with English; or
ii. 18 years of age and over with at least 1 year of relevant IT work experience or
iii. Completed relevant Certificate II or
III in IT qualification or
iv. Meet the university mature student admission criteria
