||Times Higher Education World University Rankings
The University of the South Pacific is internationally ranked by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 in the 1001-1200 category (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2023/world-ranking). The USP has maintained its World University Rankings position in the 1001-1200 category following the inaugural ranking by THE in 2022.
Furthermore, USP is ranked in three Subject areas with ranking of 601-800 in the Physical Sciences, 501-600 in Social Sciences and 501-600 in Business and Economics.
The THE World University Rankings is the only global University league table to evaluate research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); industry income (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (international staff, students and research collaborations).

The University is internationally ranked in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022. THE Impact Rankings capture universities’ impact on society, based on the institutions’ success in delivering the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Impact Rankings showcases the work being delivered by universities demonstrating the difference a university is making.
USP is ranked 401-600 out of 1406 institutions in the Overall Ranking with a score of 70 out of 100. This is indeed a great achievement for the University.
