MBA Alumni Association

The MBA Alumni Interim Committee is a temporary body established by the Graduate School of Business (GSB) at the University of the South Pacific (USP) to facilitate the formation of a formal MBA Alumni Network. Its primary role is to guide the transition from an informal alumni connection to a well-structured and sustainable association. This includes developing a draft vision, mission, and objectives for the alumni network, as well as proposing a governance structure that will ensure effective and long-term alumni engagement. The Committee also aims to reconnect with MBA graduates across the region and globally, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for professional development, networking, and alumni reunions. By organizing preliminary engagement initiatives, the Committee is setting the foundation for a formalized alumni association that will represent the interests of MBA graduates and strengthen the overall bond between alumni and the Graduate School of Business.

Additionally, the Committee plays a key role in advising the Head of School and MBA Programme Director, and Coordinator of GSB on matters related to alumni engagement and representation within school initiatives. Members are tasked with contributing to strategic planning, participating in event organization, and ensuring that all activities align with USP’s core values of inclusivity, regionalism, and excellence. As a transitional body, the Committee will serve for a term of 12 months or until the formal MBA Alumni Association is launched, whichever comes first. During this period, it will report progress to the Discipline Coordinator, GSB, and work closely with university staff to ensure that all alumni activities are properly resourced and supported. Ultimately, the Committee’s efforts are aimed at creating a robust and enduring alumni network that will support MBA graduates in their professional endeavors and contribute to the ongoing success of USP’s Graduate School of Business.
