The USP Open Day is one of the biggest dates on the University’s calendar, and whether you’re looking to explore undergraduate or postgraduate study, the USP Open Day is the perfect starting point.
High school students in the past two years have missed out on attending in-person Open Days, so this year will be bigger and better than ever.
The Open Day provides an opportunity for prospective students and their families to attain first-hand information on the programmes and courses on offer enabling them to make the right choice for their tertiary education.
In addition, it also enables prospective students to discover USP’s vibrant campus lifestyle.
The School of Accounting, Finance and Economics (SAFE) is one of six Schools delivering academic excellence through research, stakeholder engagement and collaboration. It offers programmes ranging from accounting and finance, economics, and official statistics, to population studies and demography.
This Open Day, SAFE will have exciting activities lined up for students to look forward to.
These activities include exhibitions and information sessions, the opportunity to talk to industry partners about career prospects and receiving academic advice. Students will also get a chance to participate in quizzes and win prizes.
Advocating for advancing business and management education, the School of Business and Management (SBM) offers quality programmes for those wishing to pursue their dream in this area. Its accredited programmes in business, tourism and hospitality management have earned a good reputation and international rankings. The SBM has programmes ranging from Management and Public Administration, International Business and Marketing, Human Resources Management and Employment Relations to Land Management and Development. The Tourism and Hospitality Management discipline is arguably the best provider of tourism and hospitality education in the South Pacific and an international model for innovative teaching and research.
During the Open Day, students will get an opportunity to meet SBM’s distinguished academics, hear first-hand from industry partners, and chat with alumni and students. Students can also keep a look out for quizzes and giveaways.
Students are urged to do some planning regarding their career aspirations in advance so that come the Open Day, they can ask the right questions and receive guidance on career opportunities.
The USP Open Day will be held on Friday 23 September 2022 at the Laucala, Lautoka and Labasa Campuses.
