USP Emalus Campus prepares for Open Day

The University of the South Pacific’s Emalus Campus in Vanuatu is in full gear with preparations as it holds its Open Day this Friday 16 September 2022.

Over 500 students from seven different secondary schools are anticipated to be part of the annual event to learn all about tertiary study at USP.

Campus Director, Dr Andrew MacKenzie said the Open Day is not just about school students making the big leap from secondary to tertiary education; they also have professional programmes, such as the Master of Business Administration that suit lifelong learners.

“USP is for students of all ages, everyone can benefit from a degree at USP, whether it is for career advancement or career change, we have a programme for you,” he added.

Dr MacKenzie said the Open Day showcases USP’s academic programmes, its campus, and wonderful staff. USP Emalus Campus will also open the library, laboratories, computer labs, and lecture halls to give future students an opportunity to experience USP life.”

All six of the USP schools, Pacific TAFE, and the Confucius centre provide important information about entry pathways, career opportunities, and study options at Emalus or one of our other campuses in the USP family.

“A highlight of the day is the student speech competition and cultural dances by the various cultural student association groups representing the twelve nations and six provinces of Vanuatu,” Dr MacKenzie said.

Students, staff, and the public are encouraged to visit Emalus Campus and meet the academic staff and students to learn more about study options available.

The USP Emalus Campus Open Day in Vanuatu will be held this Friday from 9am to 4pm.
