Speaking at the welcome and orientation were Director PDLP, Mr Sharvada Sharma, and Campus Director Dr Robin Havea.

Dr Havea said, “We are very pleased that the Tonga’s second intake of PDLP happened after the first one we had last year. We are also grateful to the PDLP Coordinator’s office at Laucala and the Tonga Government Attorney General’s Office for their support.”

He also highlighted that the USP Tonga Campus is doing its best to ensure that these 10 students have all the support and assistance they need throughout the entire programme.

Dr Havea added that most of the students in this cohort have just completed their Bachelor of Law degree in the first semester of this year, and the students are very eager to jump straight into the PDLP programme to continue the next phase of their legal career.
