USP’s Pacific TAFE extends application deadline

 

With the release of the Year 12 examination results today, The University of the South Pacific’s Pacific Technical and Further Education (USP Pacific TAFE) has extended its application deadline until 8 April, 2022.

Through Pacific TAFE, students can enrol either in the Preliminary, Foundation or in any of the College of Continuing Vocational Education & Training’s (CVET) programmes.

CVET’s programmes include Certificate or Diploma levels in Business & Commerce; Tourism and Hospitality; Science, Technology & Environment; or Arts & Humanities.

A qualification from Pacific TAFE’s programmes will enable students to have job ready skills which are internationally accredited or recognised. 12 of Pacific TAFE’s qualifications are internationally accredited and 100 of its short courses have received full accreditation from the Continuing Professional Development Certification Service in the United Kingdom.

Pacific TAFE is also offering scholarships for any of its programme which will cover up to 50 per cent of tuition costs (excludes Workforce Development Training Unit courses).

Mohammed Faizan Khalid, who completed his Foundation Science with Pacific TAFE said, “I chose Foundation Studies at USP Pacific TAFE to enter and adapt to a university learning environment before commencing my undergraduate studies”.

“Foundation studies allowed me to adapt my learning style too that of a university environment which enabled me to be familiar and well prepared for my further studies upon graduation. Pacific TAFE also provided a platform for me to further develop my soft skills and become a more confident person,” he said.

Mary Langises who completed her Certificate Level 3 in Early Childhood Education from Pacific TAFE’s Emalus Campus in Vanuatu said, “I found the courses comprehensive, affordable and practical in the field of Early Childhood Education”.

“This programme has helped me to understand the significance of early childhood teaching standards which is essential to young children’s learning and development,” she said.

Students who have received their Year 12 results are urged to submit their applications until Friday, 8 April 2022.
