Dear Staff and Students,
The University hosted a successful WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) Mock Seeking Accreditation Visit (SAV) last week (November 2017) in preparation for the Seeking Accreditation Visit 1 (SAV1) to be held from 11 to 13 April, 2018.
The Mock Visit Team members were:
The Mock Visit Team met with various members of the USP community, including the Chair of the Council, the Council Members, Members of the Senior Management Team, Associate Deans, Heads of Schools, Heads and Directors of Sections and Campuses, Academic, Professional, and Intermediate & Junior Staff, and Representatives from USPSA.
At the completion of the Mock SAV, the Mock Visit Team members provided the Senior Management Team with a debrief and highlighted the areas under each Criteria for Review (CFR) in which the University was doing well and provided recommendations for areas that needed improvement. The USP WSCUC Team and the SMT will discuss the action plan arising from the recommendations of the Mock Visit Team to plan and prepare for the April SAV1. The recommendations are also being incorporated into the Institutional Report that needs to be submitted to WSCUC by 31 January, 2018.
I wish to thank everyone who has helped to make this Mock SAV a success and look forward to your ongoing support as the University prepares for the April SAV1. To read more on this, please click here.
