Acknowledgment: Rotary Club of Apia Scholarships

The USP Pacific TAFE in collaboration with the USP Samoa Campus organised a thanks giving tea on Wednesday, 11 March, for acknowledging the Rotary Club of Apia, Samoa for providing scholarships worth app. WST10,000.

In his speech, the Campus Director, Associate Professor Joeli Veitayaki acknowledged the Rotary Club. “Not all parents can bear with the costs of school fees which is why we take our hats off to Rotary for their generous offer of assistance.” The Campus Director congratulated the scholarship recipients and advised the students that with generous gifts comes great responsibilities in ensuring that they are used wisely. He assured Rotary that the Campus will follow-up with the students’ progress during the semester to ensure that the students are diligent with their efforts.   

Mr. Magele Vernon Mackenzie, Pac TAFE – Samoa Campus Coordinator, acknowledged the ongoing partnership between the Pac TAFE - Samoa, and the Rotary Club of Apia. He also thanked the parents of the scholarship recipients and the campus support staff for their contributions.

The scholarship recipients are Mero’o Lafi, Usita’i Isaako, Sonny Alatise, Samron Evile, Hope Letoga, John Silva, Joyce Te’o, Augustine Liki, and Victory Tamalelagi. The grateful students spoke with the media acknowledging the kind scholarships to enable them to commence, continue or complete their tertiary qualifications at USP.
