Talofa & Welcome to Alafua Campus

I am delighted to welcome you to the University of the South Pacificís Alafua Campus website.

Alafua Campus was established in 1977 as the home of the School of Agriculture and Food Technology (SAFT). In 1998, Alafua Campus expanded its operations to include the USP Samoa Centre, which since 1976, was situated at Education Compound in Malifa.

Alafua Campus currently offers and facilitates a broad selection of programmes and courses that are available at the pre degree, undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Faculty of Arts, Law and Education (FALE); Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE); Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FATE); Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development (PACE-SD) and Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE). In addition, Alafua Campus offers secondary school tutorials for years 12 and 13 through its Continuing and Community Education (CCE) programme.

​Alafua Campus aims to promote as much of the USP learning and teaching, research, innovation and international initiatives as possible for the benefit of students and staff, researchers and the communities in Samoa. It also aims to facilitate the development and demonstration of local Pacific Island solutions to the global challenges that are now observed in our region.

Alafua Campus is striving to offer quality amenities, resources and services that will enhance the offer of a unique Pacific Island learning and development experience.
