19-yer-old perseveres to pursue further studies after graduating from USP

19-year-old Charlotte Magatogia has successfully completed her studies and has recently graduated with a Certificate in Management Studies at The University of the South Pacific (USP) in Niue.

Magatogia who was born in Niue and has maternal links to Rotuma in Fiji says during her studies, her main support system has been her family, friends and work colleagues.

After completing her secondary education at Waitakere College in 2020, Magatogia chose to pursue further studies at the USP Niue Campus.

The main challenge she faced with tertiary education was finding the finances to fund her studies, however after applying, Magatogia was fortunate to have her course fees and 2021 student allowance funded by the Government of Niue.

She enjoyed being able to study full time at the USP Niue Campus as she worked towards her goals and interests in the field of Management.

Following her graduation in 2022, Magatogia now intends to complete a Diploma in Management Studies while being employed full-time by the Niue Chamber of Commerce.

The 19-year-old is also highly interested in taking up Law one day at USP with the aim of becoming the first in her immediate family to graduate with a university Degree.
