The Gender and Environment course started off with the concept of gender and fisheries through the collaboration of the Pacific Community (SPC) and USP under the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) Programme?

PEUMP is a European Union in the Pacific and Government of Sweden-funded multi-partner Programme that supports sustainable ocean and coastal fisheries management across 15 PICs. It has a strong emphasis on the human dimensions by applying gender, social inclusion and human rights lenses. Stay tuned for more details next week!

The USP component of the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) Programme is housed within the Institute of Marine Resources of the School of Agriculture, Geography, Environment, Ocean and Natural Sciences.
