The new Gender & Environment Unit was developed by USP’s PEUMP Programme within the Institute of Marine Resources.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) is one of four regional key partners currently implementing the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (#PEUMP) Programme. The overall objective of the USP component is to build capacity through education, training, research, and development for key stakeholder groups in fisheries and marine resources management.

The USP component of the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) Programme is housed within the Institute of Marine Resources of the School of Agriculture, Geography, Environment, Ocean and Natural Sciences. The PEUMP programme, is funded by the European Union in the Pacific and the Government of Sweden
