Renovation underway at USP Emalus Campus in Vanuatu

 

The University of the South Pacific (USP) is pleased to announce the commencement of renovation work at its Emalus Campus in Vanuatu, aimed at enhancing infrastructure for the benefit of both staff and students.

USP has partnered with two esteemed local contractors, Ninane Construction & Earthworks and Etul Construction, to spearhead this critical development project.

The scope of this project encompasses the refurbishment of 13 hostel blocks, prioritising the creation of a secure and conducive living environment for USP students. Scheduled for completion by mid-July 2024, Ninane Construction & Earthworks is diligently with USP to oversee this crucial endeavour.

Working in close collaboration with the contractors, USP’s Estates and Infrastructure is ensuring that the renovation projects adhere to the discussed timeline, underscoring the university’s commitment to efficiency and excellence.

As part of this project, seven married quarters have already undergone renovation, with completion slated by the end of this month under the expert guidance of Etul Construction.

Additionally, ongoing repairs to six staff housings and the food court/dining hall are anticipated to conclude by year’s end.

While these works are progressing, USP is in the tender phase for the renovation and upgrade of the Emalus Campus lecture room that fosters a dynamic learning environment.
