USP congratulates Year 13 Ni Van students

The University of the South Pacific wishes to congratulate all Year 13 Ni Vanuatu students for reaping the fruit of their hard work as they receive their external examination results.

Marango Marcoben a former Year 13 student at the Lycee Louis Antoine De Bougainville in Port Vila, Vanuatu has confirmed that he will pursue his studies at USP with admissions now open.

Marcoben meritoriously passed his Year 13 exam and plans to apply for admission at the USP, Emalus Campus.

“A lot of my friends passed with good marks. Last year, we decided not to apply anywhere and just to wait for our Year 13 results. Now, that the result is out, most of us will go to USP’s Emalus Campus to fill out the application form,” he said.

Marcoben is a science student and plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science programme at the institution over the next three years. Quality learning and modern facilities are what encouraged this 18-year-old to further his studies at USP.

Marcoben’s father, Charlie Robert Marango is proud and pleased with his son’s achievement.

Marango said every parent must be proud of what their children have achieved in the last academic year, particularly those who sat for their external examinations and continue the same level of support as we embark into another academic year.

He added that he intends to further his studies at USP and “this is a proud moment for our family”.

“I encouraged my son to visit the Emalus Campus as soon as possible to fill out an application form. My son decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science and I will respect his decision,” Marango said.

Marango is also encouraging other regional students who have received or will receive their external examination results to pursue their studies at any of the fourteen USP Campuses in the region.

Meanwhile, USP’s admissions are now open. New applicants or those resuming studies can now apply for admission for Semester 1, 2023.
