USP donates desks to Assemblies of God Primary School

The University of the South Pacific (USP) yesterday donated close to 250 tables to the Assemblies of God Primary (AOG) School in Kinoya, Suva.

During the handover, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Regional Campuses and Global Engagement) Dr Giulio Masasso Tu’ikolongahau Pāunga said, “On behalf of our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pal Ahluwalia, who is not physically present here with us in Fiji, we would like to offer these desks to your institution in response to your request and expression of interest on the items. Although these tables are not new, we hope our small donation will help you in your mission towards your students and our future generation”.

AOG Primary, School Manager, Rev. Joji Koroibanuve said they were speechless and thanked USP for their donation.

“We are very blessed, and we are thankful to USP for choosing AOG Primary to donate these desks, which will boost our students and the school and for what they thought would be of great benefit to the school.”

AOG Primary School Head Teacher, Mr Osea Cakau said the arrival of the desks was a blessing to the school, for which they were very fortunate.

“On behalf of the board, and the Deputy General Superintendent of AOG Church, our staff and students, we would like to offer our sincere gratitude for your generous donation to the school. It is indeed a blessing to the school. We have spent a lot in purchasing and looking for furniture for our school of over 1000 students, so thank you very much for considering our institution.”
