USP Labasa Campus and Savusavu Centre Welcomes New and Continuing students for 2021

Semester 1, 2021 began with much excitement both at the USP Labasa Campus and the Savusavu Centre as it opened its doors to new and continuing students.

Labasa Campus processed 327 applications from new students and overall 619 students for this Semester.

Labasa Campus held its Orientation for three days from 22- 24 February that provided new students with an opportunity to learn about the University’s facilities and services such as the Student Learning Support (SLS), Success @ USP, Moodle Training and take a Campus tour.

Campus Director Dr Samuela Bogitini when welcoming the students at the Orientation said, “You are here on the pathway to excel and the University for over 50 years has ensured that it delivers quality Education and Services.” He also reassured students of the care that will be provided and urged them to give in their best towards their studies.

Over the 3 days, students were treated to fun-filled activities with games, learning sessions, great prizes and giveaways and refreshments.

The Savusavu Centre also held its Orientation on 26 and 27 February.  Savusavu Centre Supervisor, Mr. Sairusi Lui briefed students about the facilities and services available at the Centre. As with Labasa Campus, similar fun-filled activities were available to students at the Savusavu Centre.   Apart from being introduced to learning at USP, the Orientation also provided new students a great opportunity to get to meet the staff and fellow students before the start of the Semester.
