Brad K. Carte, PhD – Marshall Islands Campus Director

Iakwe and welcome to the beautiful beachside USP Marshall Islands USP Campus located on Long Island Majuro, Marshall Islands!

USP Marshall Islands Campus welcomes all who are interested in pursuing higher education at an institution known for quality, Pacific focus, and its links with Regional and International partners.  Quality is a core value of the University and is assured through a comprehensive system implemented by External Advisers from renowned Universities, institutional quality audits from Australian and New Zealand quality agencies and by international accreditors.  We are proud to say that USP has obtained American accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

While we are a small campus, we have excellent facilities and staff to ensure you have a successful learning experience and journey that will provide you with the best chance for life-long success.  This includes a well-resourced Library and experienced Librarian, computer labs and video-conferencing facilities with the full time support of an ITS Support Officer, well equipped Science Labs for courses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a USP Campus-Life Office and full-time Student Learning Support officer to support you in your learning journey.

Courses are offered in a variety of teaching modes including Print, Online, Blended and Face-to-Face.  Bridging Preliminary and Foundation programs are available from the USP Pacific TAFE through our government supported College Preparatory Program as well as Pacific TAFE skills-based or sub-degree programs, and Degree and Post-Degree level courses are available from the USP Schools and the Pacific Centre for Environment & Sustainable Development (PaCE-SD).

In addition to Academic facilities and services, the Marshall Island Campus offers a range of social, cultural and sporting activities.  The campus has a café where students can enjoy daily lunch specials as well as a cup of tea, coffee or healthy smoothies.  There is a campus choir and ability to check out a range of musical instruments.  For sporting activities, the campus boasts recently renovated tennis courts, table tennis and beach volleyball, a fitness center/gym and kayaks and snorkeling equipment for rent to explore the campus reef.  The campus also hosts the Majuro Ocean Sports Club that has state-of-the-art outrigger paddling canoes and plans to include swimming, water safety, standup paddling and surfing in the club’s activities.

Our alumni have distinguished the USP through their many achievements.   We have USP alumni who work in important roles here in RMI and the Region. Students, the choice of university is one of the most important decisions of a person’s life, and I believe USP is the right choice for bright and ambitious students like you.  Please come and visit the Marshall Island Campus or contact us for additional assistance in choosing your education pathway.
