Soropepeli Ramacake - Assistant Lecturer
Bula Vinaka. My name is Soro Ramacake. I am an i-Taukei. I lived in New Zealand and Australia for the past 40 years.
I have extensive experience in community work and community development, working with indigenous and Pasifika peoples, social worker in school, child protection, youth justice, facilitating male anger management groups, couples counselling and pastoral counselling. I have done consultancy in Supervision, Social Work Assessment for SW Registration, Social Worker Complaints Assessor and Court Cultural Report Writing for Sentencing.
My qualifications are MSW Applied, PGDip in Supervision, Dip in Counselling, BTheology. I want to start my PHD (Social Work) studies in 2020.
I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. I love to teach, and I enjoy seeing people grow in their knowledge and shine in their practice, and to realise their full potential. I am a registered social worker.
