There are several opportunities available to get involved and participate in University events and activities and build networks with alumni, students and staff of the University.
Get involved, join our volunteer network, and contact the Alumni Office.
Some of the ways you could get involved are:
Become a class/regional Alumni Ambassador
Class/Regional Ambassadors help perform a vital service in keeping alumni connected and involved with USP. They connect with former classmates or USP graduates in their regional location, encourage them to increase their class/regional participation by attending alumni events, and assist the Alumni Office in keeping up-to-date alumni contact information.
Join a career mentoring network
A Career mentor helps pave the way for students to succeed at USP and beyond by sharing their educational and professional experience with students. Career mentoring service is not only for current students but also for alumni. Fellow alumni can benefit from your experience as well. The primary responsibilities of a mentor are to motivate and coach students/alumni and to provide career advice. A Mentor may provide insights into the realities of working in specific professions, assist in reviewing CVs, advise on making professional contacts, and navigate their education qualification in different work sectors.
Participate in lecture series
Give a guest lecture to current students, staff, and alumni on your professional experience and share advice on succeeding in a particular industry or profession.
Get involved with your Alumni Network Group
Assist your alumni network group with event planning and activities.
Volunteer at an Alumni Event
Contact the Alumni Office if you are interested in volunteering at an Alumni event.
Become a sponsor
Sponsor an alumni event either through a networking group or the Alumni Office.
Assist with student recruitment
Alumni can make a vital contribution to USP by supporting the University’s goal of recruiting potential students. Volunteers are needed in various fields to share their USP experience with students at various enrolment activities and school visits.
If you are interested in something not listed above, you can always let us know, and we would be happy to assist you.
