The Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference (VPEC) 2021 celebrates 20 years of the Re-thinking Pacific Education by Pacific Peoples for Pacific Peoples (RPEI/RPEIPP). The conference this year was initially planned to be held in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the PERF Board has encouraged regional members to host their own Vaka. The Institute of Education as the Secretariat to the Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference has confirmed with Tonga and Samoa in hosting their own Vaka in-country. There are also planned webinar series to be held before the end of the year and more information will be provided soon.
