Aegrotat Pass

You can apply for an Aegrotat Pass for the exams you missed. Please note that USP will only award you an Aegrotat Pass if you fulfil the following conditions as listed in the USP regulations:

  • Fill in and submit the Aegrotat/Compassionate Pass or Special Exam application form,
  • Have a valid reason for missing your exams(s),
  • Upload your supporting documents (like a medical certificate) to support your reason and to show that you were not available on the day of your exam, and
  • Have a “B” average in your coursework (at least 64%) to be considered for an Aegrotat Pass.

You should apply as soon as you can and note that the last day for all Aegrotat Pass applications to reach SAS is Friday after the last day of exams. Once SAS receives your application, it will be recorded and then forwarded to your Course Coordinator for his/her recommendation.

Your application will be tabled at the School assessment meetings, where the Discipline Coordinator and the Head of School will make their decision, and the result will be communicated to you via email after the semester/trimester grades are released.
