USP Labasa Campus came together to celebrate Easter and Holi on 31st of March, 2021. The two events coordinated by Students Association held a great significance with much merry making at the campus.
The Special Guest of honour at the function was Pastor Josaia Donaimaibulu from Enton Harvest Church who shared God’s Divine words of peace, togetherness and love. “The two significant celebrations of Holi and Easter deliberates the message of Unity and Peace among all individuals,” was Pastor Donaimaibulu’s message to the students and staff.
Dr. Bogitini, the Campus Director was also part of both the students and staff celebrations. He emphasized on the power of ‘Unity,’ and wished everyone a safe long festive weekend. It was also great to witness the collegial effort put up by the Christian Staff who had collaborated in putting up a special Easter programme for the Non- Christian Staff.
A special Easter Message shared with the staff by the Student Learning Specialist- Mrs. Simmons was, “that this time of the year is about forgiveness and love.”
With assignment deadlines and the adrenaline rush this semester, Students and Staff came together and reunited over food, colour, fun and laughter. The celebrations at the campus livened the atmosphere and we all ended Week 5 on a high and positive note.
