About Us
USP Lautoka Campus is one of the two regional campuses of USP in Fiji, representing the university in the Western Division. It caters for a geographical area that extends from Rakiraki in the north of Viti Levu, via Tavua, Ba, Lautoka and Nadi to Sigatoka in the south of the island, as well as the Yasawa group.
The Campus currently occupies 4 floors of the Western House at Vidilo Street in the heart of the Lautoka City. It is well equipped with modern technology enabling students to enjoy the Flexible Learning environment with Internet connectivity including WiFi access for study & research.
The Lautoka Campus serves to fulfill two main objectives of being USP’s representative in the Western Division. Firstly, it delivers academic programs and courses from the Schools and Colleges of USP to the door steps of the Western communities. The Flexible Learning approach offers study opportunities to those who wish to study while keeping their job and staying with their families in their own home town in the Western Division of Fiji.
Secondly, apart from academic programs and courses, Lautoka Campus also engages with local communities through its Continuing and Community Education (CCE) program. Engaging communities with lifelong learning approach, CCE offers programs and courses for individuals and communities for the purpose of re-skilling, multi-skilling and upgrading skills in order to keep their competency level for the workplace and/or prepare them directly for the labor market.
Due to continuous growth in student numbers and study programs, USP Lautoka now has two centres, namely, Nadi Hospitality Tourism and Training Centre in Namaka, Nadi and the Pacific TAFE Centre in Namoli Avenue, Lautoka.
For the convenience of its students living outside greater Lautoka, USP Lautoka has exam centres at Penang High School in Rakiraki, Tavua College in Tavua and Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College in Sigatoka
