Terms and Conditions

ELIGIBILITY: The Competition is open to students and youths (18-35) from USP’s 12 member countries. Sponsors, subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective employees, directors, officers, shareholders, successors, assigns, agents and consultants (collectively, the “Sponsor Partners”), and Sponsor Partner’s immediate families and persons living in their households are not eligible to enter the competition.

  • The competition shall be staged in compliance with all applicable laws and is void where otherwise prohibited.
  • By entering, participants release Sponsor and the Sponsor Partners from any responsibility and all liability for any injuries, losses, death or damages of any kind caused by participation in the competition or in connection with acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prizes provided pursuant to the competition.
  • Participants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these rules. Participants represent and warrant that they meet the eligibility requirements set forth.
  • In addition, participants agree to accept the decisions of Sponsor, as final and binding as it relates to the competition.

How to Enter:

  • To enter, participants must register online and join the STEMP Viber Community by scanning the QR code provided and upload the video based on any of the given themes:
  1. Right to information,
  2. Innovation in anti-corruption
  3. E-governance and open data
  • The video must be all original content, no shorter than 1 minute (60 seconds).
  • The entry must fulfil all competition requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize.
  • Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
  • Participants may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities or devices in an attempt to evade the rules.
  • Use of fraudulent methods or otherwise attempting to evade any rules shall be grounds for immediate removal and ineligibility from the competition, at the sole discretion of the s
  • This competition is solely for individual entry and no collaboration would be accepted.
  • All video submissions must be received by the February 26th, 2024
  • Sponsors are not responsible for late or unsuccessful attempts to enter.
  • Sponsors reserve the right to allow for minor fluctuations between the participants timing device and the actual runtime of the submission on the competition homepage, based on clear intent to comply with the rules, as determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  • Participants should be able to provide on request all appropriate clearances, permissions and releases for the video submission, including releases from the submitting participants and any third parties appearing in the submission.
  • Incomplete, corrupted, untimely or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. If for any reason a participant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, corrupted or otherwise destroyed, participants sole remedy is another entry in the competition.
  • Sponsors reserve the right to determine in its sole discretion which entries have satisfied the entry requirements. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS MUST SUBMIT EACH ENTRY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE RULES. NO OTHER METHOD OF SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Given below are the requirements for video submission:

  • Be submitted in a format that should be used in all social media sites as well as websites. Any other formats submitted and/or exceeding the time limit will be disqualified.

Videos must NOT:

  • Contain material and/or conduct which is (or promotes activities which are), in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to be illegal or involves an act of immorality or is otherwise offensive or violates generally accepted standards of behavior or otherwise leads Sponsors to believe or conclude that the public association with participants would tend to subject Sponsor to ridicule, contempt, embarrassment or scandal, including, without limitation, including, without limitation, material and/or conduct that is sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), threatening, or harassing.
  • Contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including, but not limited to, material that violates privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright, trademark, patent or trade secret infringement.
  • Without limiting the foregoing, video submissions must not include: third party logos, trade dress, badge, location signage, photographs, artwork or sculptures; and use your own creativity, original music and graphical ideas to convey the chosen theme.
  • Third parties, including, but not limited to, minors, celebrities, and friends who have not expressly authorized participants to display their name, image, voice, performance in any submitted video or otherwise use such name in accordance with these rules.
  • By entering, each participant represents and warrants that his or her entry (and Sponsor’s use thereof) does not and will not defame or otherwise violate the rights of any third party and does not and will not violate any laws or
  • Participants further represents and warrants that he or she has secured the requisite consent from any person referenced or appearing in their entries. To the extent that anyone under the age of fifteen (15) appears in a video, participants represent and warrants that the minor’s parent or guardian has consented to the minor’s appearance in the video.
  • Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes violates any of the Video Submission Requirements, does not otherwise comply with these rules, or that is not consistent with the theme of the competition.
  • Participants will retain copyright in their video submission, but each participant grants to Sponsor and the Sponsor Partners an exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works, transmit and disseminate the submission in all media or platforms whether now or any and all media on the Internet, and in perpetuity, without compensation or additional consents from participants or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.
  • Participants also waives any and all moral rights in the submission with respect to any use by Sponsor or its Sponsor Partners.

JUDGING PERIOD: The Judging Period begins from 27th February– 5th March, 2024. A panel of judges selected by the sponsors, in its sole discretion, will judge the participants and select a Prize Winner(s) based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, uniqueness, clarity of message, respectful tone, language and accessibility.

WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT: The potential Winner(s), as determined by the Judges, will be notified by E-mail and will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification attempt.

  • The failure to respond timely within 1 week to the notification may result the sponsor to select an alternate Winner(s) according to the Judges’ results.

PRIZES: Multiple prizes which includes conference presentation in the regional and offshore.

  • The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the sponsors. Prize is not valid towards prior purchases. All prizes are not transferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including, without limitation, any local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
  • By participating in the competition and submitting a video, each participant hereby grants permission for the sponsor and the sponsor Partners to use participants name for the purpose of advertising, trade and promotion without further notice, permission, or compensation in any and all media now known or hereafter developed throughout. Except as required by law or permitted pursuant to these rules, the sponsor will not share a participants personal information with any third parties.
