Industrial Collaboration

The University of the South Pacific emphasizes industrial collaboration to enhance innovation through knowledge exchange and to better prepare our graduates for the demanding work force.
The USP has over the years collaborated on researches with the Land Transport Authority, Ministry of Infrastructure and various private companies on challengers these organizations face. These collaborations bridge the gap between academics and the industry. It creates a platform of information sharing and networking. Industrial personnel, work with the team of researchers both students and staff during the research duration and therefore have access to state of the art facilities. Our students and staff on the other hand benefit immensely as we get to work on practical industrial challengers as well as exposes our students to the real-world aspect of engineering.
The Industrial collaboration program has seen our graduates take up positions in these organization and have performed very well in their roles. The USP strives in creating more opportunities for our graduates to allow a smooth transition from being student to working professionals.
