Standalone PV system at the Bureivanua District School (BDS)

Electrical and Electronics Engineering in STEMP recently designed and installed a standalone PV system at the Bureivanua District School (BDS), a remote rural educational institution located far away from the main road, Rakiraki.  BDS, situated in an area with limited access to essential services, faced the arduous challenge of relying on a costly and cacophonous diesel generator as its primary source of power. The project was meticulously executed in strict accordance with the Solar Energy Industries Association of the Pacific Islands (SEIAPI) guidelines by Utkal Mehta and Arshaque Ali.
