Anjula Devi earned her Master of Commerce degree, specializing in Management and Public Administration, from the University of the South Pacific in 2019. Prior to that, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce with a focus on Management and Public Administration in 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management & Public Administration in 2014. In addition, Anjula holds a Diploma in Business Applied Computing from Fiji National University (formerly the Fiji Institute of Technology), which she obtained in 2001.
With over 23 years of professional experience, Anjula has held various roles in administrative support, secretariat services, office and project management, financial management, and general administration, across multiple departments at USP. Her career began as a Clerical Assistant (Publication) to the Director at the Institute of Education from 2002 to 2008, where she was responsible for managing, printing, marketing, distributing, and selling publications produced by the Institute.
In 2009, Anjula transitioned to the Accounts Payable Office as an Accounts Clerk, working under the supervision of the Manager of Procurement. Her responsibilities included processing payments for USP vendors, preparing VAT clearance documents for projects, and training staff on finance-related tasks, including banner receiving.
Later in 2009, Anjula joined the Research Office, where she has served in various roles supporting the Senior Management Team, including the Pro Vice Chancellor for Research & International and the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation & International. Currently, she serves as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research & Innovation. In this capacity, Anjula provides expert coordination, communication, and professional support, managing a wide range of critical issues, services, and projects aligned with key strategic objectives. Her duties include organizing high-level meetings and forums, coordinating the submission of reports and briefings, recording minutes, managing appointments, overseeing financial management, supervising I&J staff, and handling office management. Anjula’s role is crucial in ensuring that key tasks are effectively coordinated and delivered to the appropriate stakeholders.
