Anushka Maharaj has been an integral member of the Research Office team since 2015. She began her career as the Research Student Coordinator Assistant, where she gained valuable experience managing postgraduate research activities and supporting the administration of scholarships. In 2017, she transitioned to the role of Research Student Coordinator [RSC], a position she held until 2024.
During her time as RSC, Anushka oversaw the administration of multiple prestigious research scholarships, including the Pacific Scholarship for Excellence in Research and Innovation (PSERI), Write-Up Scholarships, and externally funded programs such as the Association of Commonwealth Universities Ocean Country Partnership Programme.
Anushka is currently the Project Coordinator for Project Halophyte. This innovative PhD scholarship program focuses on applied research aimed at piloting groundbreaking mangrove restoration and floating mangrove technologies in Viti Levu.
