Malakai is a field technician for sea turtle project at USP. He assists in logistics, data collection and technical support.

Educational Background/ Qualifications:

Monfort Technical College Certificate in Joinery and Upholstery Centre for Appropriate Technology and Development (CATD)

Certificate in Automotive Engineering and Servicing

Certificate in Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship


Malakai hails from Nakalou Macuata. He joined the sea turtle team in 2017. Prior to this, he was part of the Dau-ni-Vonu (DnV) network at World Wildlife Fund for Nature. He also has experience in sea turtle awareness work in the local community.
