IPENZ Accreditation for BE Programmes

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) has received a five year accreditation from 2014 to 2019 from the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ). It is a signatory to the Washington Accord. The two programmes were launched in 2012.
This achievement is reassuring for USP’s undergraduate engineering. Students can have confidence in the high quality and standing of their qualifications at international level. An accredited engineering school is considered highly among employers and other institutions across the world. Accreditation protects students, graduates and future employers and can lead to favorable employment opportunities. Graduates of these programmes will now receive recognition by the Fiji Institution of Engineers (FIE) and IPENZ and can eventually become members of both bodies.

The accredited programmes are listed on the IPENZ website: https://www.ipenz.nz/home/news-and-publications/news-article/2015/09/15/ipenz-accredited-four-year-degree
