Pay Printing and Internet Use
Papercut Quota is an application used by IT Services to better manage costs associated to our printing and internet services.
Students are allowed 400MB per month of external internet allocations. All USP websites are exempted from this internet metering. Once a user’s allocation is exhausted (credit = 0.00), his/her internet access is subject to throttling (i.e. internet access becomes extremely slow). Therefore, students are encouraged to use the internet appropriately and for academic work.
Once a user logs in to a PC, the printing widget showing the user’s print credit and the internet metering widget gauge should appear in the top right-hand corner. Users may log in and check their internet quota and print credits using their email accounts.
