Student Achievement of Programme and University Graduate Outcomes

Student achievement of Programme and University Graduate Outcomes for selected majors is illustrated using a combination of students’ performance on assessment in final year courses (capstone courses). Student success is demonstrated through a suite of educational performance indicators such as:

Pass rate by course level;
First year retention rate;
Programme completion rate.

Programme outcomes for the Bachelor of Science degree are specific to different disciplines dependent on the area of study. As such the assessments conducted in the capstone course, SC356, are aligned directly to the USP Graduate Outcomes. This would contribute further to the development of USP Graduate Outcomes at the programme level, since SC356 is compulsory for all BSc. students across the science disciplines.
