Immaculate Conception College Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Annual Awards Day

On November 28, 2025, Immaculate Conception College (ICC), a vital educational institution nestled in Solevu, Bua Province, marked a significant milestone with its Annual Prize Giving, coinciding with the climax of its 50th Anniversary celebrations.
The ceremony, held to honor academic excellence and student achievements, featured a distinguished address by Mr. Gabiriele Bulivou. Representing The University of the South Pacific (USP) and its School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics (STEMP), Mr. Bulivou inspired the students—referred to as the “future leaders of Fiji and the Pacific”—to view education as a “toolkit for dreaming big and acting boldly”.
He urged them to “Be the Change You Want to See in the World” and seize opportunities for higher education. Mr. Bulivou challenged the prize winners and every student to push boundaries, capitalizing on the foundation laid by their families and the school to shape the Pacific they deserve. The college, a beacon of learning in the heart of Bua, was praised for its resilience and half-century legacy.
