Mathematics is considered to be the foundation of all science. It is the language used by engineering, applied science, life science, social science, and business.

There is a high demand for people with a solid mathematical understanding, and mathematicians work with people in all fields.
A study in mathematics is a study in the principles that are shared by all, and in the tools that are available by all to describe and analyse the  world.  Graduates with a degree in Mathematics are valued for their analytic skills and their ability  to approach and solve problems using logic and abstract thinking.
