RSD Resources

The Research Skills Development (RSD) framework is implemented in Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses at the University of the South Pacific. RSD implementation was initiated in 2012 with implementation in the first year Undergraduate generic courses ‘UU100 Communication and Information Literacy’ and ‘UU114 English for Academic Purposes’. Following this, RSD was implemented in the second year Undergraduate generic courses ‘UU200 Ethics and Governance’ and ‘UU204 Pacific Worlds’, and in the 100-level discipline based courses during 2013. 200-level discipline based courses commenced implementation of RSD in 2014 with 300-level courses scheduled for implementation in 2015.

RSD is integrated in the courses using an assessment based approach where RSD is embedded in the course assignment and marking rubrics. The RSD course assignments including marking rubrics and the RSD Training Handbooks are accessible on this website under the following Terms and Conditions:
