The Anti-Corruption Consultation Workshop

The students from Labasa Campus and Savusavu centre were invited to attend the Anti-Corruption Consultation one day workshop on 8th March, 2024.  The Chief Guest was Ms. Kolora Naliva, Manager Corruption Prevention of Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). She spoke on youths as leaders of tomorrow and how they can make an impact of themselves later while joining the workforce.  Unfortunately, over the past years amid the growth of the workforce, corruption continues to exist and plague the reputation of people who go to lengths compromising situations to their own advantages.  The Chief Guest also talked on the urgent need to eradicate any forms of corruption and the need to develop young minds to resist corruption.  The Coordinator, Savusavu centre on behalf of the Director, Labasa Campus addressed all those who were present at the workshop. There were information sessions and presentations where the students were engaged in.  The students who took part in the presentation all appreciated the one-day workshop and have gained immensely in combatting any forms of corruption.  This is a very important tool for young people as they need to have a sound knowledge of while psyching their minds to join the workforce later in their lives.

A special “Vinaka Vakalevu” to all who made this event a successful one.
