Virtual School Recruitment Programme for Year 13 students in the Northern Division

The Labasa Campus Marketing Team conducted Zoom sessions over three weeks from 10th November to 30th November, 2021 to Y13 students in schools in Cakaudrove, Bua, and Macuata. This is was an initiative to bridge gaps of information for students who needed help with filling of their USP Provisional forms online or manually. Labasa Campus provided opportunities for virtual sessions and face-to-face sessions on campus on Saturdays to assist Macuata secondary school students or any that needed further assistance. Labasa Campus, Labasa PacTAFE and Savusavu Centre staff to allow them to make informed choices about joining USP hosted students.  The response from the schools have been overwhelming allowing USP Labasa Campus to display its versatile ICT infrastructure, collaborate with other sections at USP Laucala and upskilling digital media skills. Staff were also empowered to explore ideas and come up with new ways of disseminating information and working around the “new norms of a pandemic”  is enhanced to  allow USP to continue providing quality customer service to its prospective students, alumni’s and partners of USP Labasa Campus, Labasa Pacific TAFE and USP Savusavu Centre.
