Library Spaces

Main Library The library contains 1,106 seats throughout. The leisure reading collection is located on Level B with seating arranged around. Level B and C are silent study areas and the use of mobile phones is not allowed. You are only allowed to bring in water on Levels B and C. Level C features a periodicals reading area with current journals and magazines outside the discussion room.


One Stop Shop USP support services hold regular sessions in the library. The services include a Justice of the Peace (JP) as well as Student Learning Support (SLS) specialists from each faculty. Click to view the weekly schedule	Library Learning Commons Located on level A, the Learning Commons seats 380 students and features an IRS lab for teaching research skills, two learning labs and three bookable rooms for group work. There are plenty of power points for charging devices as well as a phone charging station.

Post Graduate Room Located on level C and is strictly for postgraduate students. All postgraduate students wishing to use the room should obtain a key from the main issue desk. Students are expected to keep the room locked at all times. It is accessible during Library opening hours.	Yalu Lounge This space in the Learning Commons is an air conditioned room which seats up to 30 people.

Learning Labs The Learning Labs 1 and 2 are air conditioned and separated by folding glass doors. Each lab is equipped with white boards and can sit up to 40 people. Lab 2 is equipped with a wall mounted TV screen. These spaces are for larger group work, teaching and meetings. Fees, which are subject to change, apply to bookings made by external users (e.g. project related & non-USP). To book the Learning Labs please email learningcommons@usp.ac.fj	Library Conference Room An air-conditioned room with audio visual facilities, a white board, tables and chairs is available for groups of up to 30 people.
