School of Pacific Arts, Communication and Education (SPACE) Postgraduate Students’ Orientation

The Deputy Head of School Learning & Teaching Quality SPACE,  Dr Rosiana Lagi hosted Postgraduate and Research students at Labasa Campus on the 1st and 2nd of April, 2022. The  initiative was to, orientate them on the discipline of Education Postgraduate (PG) studies, have  “talanoa” on pressing educational issues,  arouse interests for research and also assist in mapping out pathways for students to align to when embarking on postgraduate studies with School of Pacific Arts, Communication and Education (SPACE), at USP.

The two day session was a result of collaboration between Campus Director Dr Samuela Bogitini and SPACE, Laucala Campus to be able to meet the demand of a high PG enrollment this semester at Labasa Campus. Students were invited and encouraged to attend the session as it would be a grand opportunity to have one on one discussions, meet fellow peers embarking on the same programme, create study buddy options and discuss with Dr Lagi issues of interests pertaining to their PG studies.

The participants acknowledge the support of the campus, discipline of Education and Dr Lagi in making this session a success and will be to meet fortnightly to ensure all PG and research students at Labasa Campus are transitioning well or progressing in their aspirations for a PG qualification and research.
