Career summary

Mr. Eroni Batikawai is currently pursing PhD research at the University of Melbourne. He graduated with a double gold medal in Land Planning & Real Estate from USP in 2007 and earned a Master of Business in Property from the University of South Australia in 2011. He was recognized for his outstanding academic performance in his Master’s program by being inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society.

As an indigenous Fijian, Mr. Batikawai has experience in both private valuation practice and estate management in Fiji, including a position at Appraisals Pacific in Nadi from 2008 to 2009. In 2012, he was granted provisional membership in the Australian Property Institute (API). Since 2012, Mr. Batikawai has been a member of the academic staff at the Discipline of Land Management & Development at USP, where he teaches property and real estate courses.


Teaching

Mr. Batikawai is currently on study leave, pursuing a PhD as a full-time student at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

  • Indigenous land rights and compensation assessment,
  • Housing Market Analysis – housing affordability, housing needs, housing policy, housing prices index, housing needs assessment,
  • Good governance and land management,
  • Behavioral study in property appraisal, real estate agency and property development,
  • Property economics and land price modelling.
