1. Master of Commerce in Official Statistics (Thesis)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Formulate coherent and feasible research proposals in the field of Official Statistics.
  2. Review critically literature/scholarly positions, trends and current issues within the field of Official Statistics in a local, regional and international context.
  3. Apply an appropriate theoretical framework to examine a national statistical issues.
  4. Implement an appropriately designed instrument to collect quantitative and/or qualitative data in the field of Official Statistics.
  5. Analyse data to achieve robust, logical conclusions on economic and social issues.
  6. Report research findings using appropriate academic conventions in the field of Official Statistics.
