On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Formulate coherent and feasible research proposals and project reports based on research findings in the field of land management, planning and development.
  2. Examine critically literature/scholarly positions, current issues and trends within the land management, planning and development industry in a local, regional and international context.
  3. Formulate innovative solutions through applied research to address challenges arising from the sustainable management, planning, and development of land resources from a local, regional and international context.
  4. Evaluate the current scale, scope and diversity of the lands/real estate industry and identify key forces shaping land management and development outcomes at local, national, regional and international levels.
  5. Appraise the need for and scope of sustainable land management and development and methods of stakeholder participation.
  6. Publish research and scholarly work through peer-reviewed journals and disseminate the same through presentations, seminars, and such forums to the wider property industry and research community.
