Master of Commerce in Tourism & Hospitality Management (SRP) 

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Formulate coherent and feasible research proposals and project reports based on research findings in the field of tourism and hospitality management.
  2. Examine critically literature/scholarly positions, current issues and trends within the tourism and hospitality industries in a local, regional and international context.
  3. Review through strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis, literature, discussions, critical presentations and detailed business plans external forces impacting on the tourism and hospitality industries, including economic pressures, social and cultural change, and of environmental, ecological and ethical concerns.
  4. Evaluate the current scale, scope and diversity of the hospitality industry and identify structural differences among hospitality organisations.
  5. Appraise the need for and scope of tourism planning and sustainable development and methods of stakeholder participation.
  6. Publish research and scholarly work through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, seminars, and such forums to the wider tourism industry and research community.
